All About Cacao

When we enter the sacred art of honoring the elements and the plants we reunite with the environment and we remember our place in the world and with each other, one that is heart centered and generous. Cacao is about generosity. This is a time to reactive connection to the spirit of love in our community.

What is Ceremonial Grade Cacao?

Ceremonial grade cacao is the purest form of chocolate. It is 100% cacao-bean paste that contains a much higher quantity of beneficial health -restoring and mood-elevating compounds including a beautiful heartwarming(opening) sensation and is a potent aphrodisiac. The higher the quality of the bean used to make the paste, the more powerful the sensations experience tend to be.

Ceremonial grade cacao is typically sourced from central and south America where the beans are grown by local tribes harvested with love, intention to heal and deep respect to the plant medicine.

It is made by fermenting and lightly toasting or sun-drying the beans, then peeling the husks (usually by hand) and stone-grinding them down to create a paste which is set into a block — nothing added, nothing removed.  Chocolate in its purity.

By looking to indigenous wisdom of how the medicine has been worked with, we are able to learn about a celebratory, healing approach and relationship with cacao as plant medicine that has been passed down through generations.

The Ceremony

This ceremony is a nourishing environment for you to connect with yourself, and other people in profound ways. Each month this ceremony will be an opportunity to deepen your practice of union. Our practice will be to open our bodies and our hearts through movement, sharing, and sound for an uplifting embodied experience.

We will be drinking a delicious blend of ceremonial grade cacao mixed with adaptogenic herbs and spices to boost immunity and facilitate heart opening and grounding.
